Pre-Halloween party

Saturday we went to a "pre-Halloween party" in Laurel. It sucked! But what was good was the location. It was in the new Westminster Apartments off of Rte. 1. It is a beautifully built place, with nice gazebos, pools, fitness areas, cyber cafes, private theatre rooms, billard and play lounges, etc. However, it all comes at a price and that price is pretty steep in my opinion. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of the place but I do pics of our fresh mugs! peep it!

G&E's Wedding 10.10.09

So V and I went to a wedding on Sat. It was pretty cool. A Korean Catholic wedding. I don't have any pics from the actual wedding ceremony but here are some from the reception. Dope reception spot, rooftop of the VisArts building (rockville, md). I thought the food was ok, nothing special. The weather got pretty chilly with wind but the wine and coffee definitely helped.

How to avoid the topic “religion” in your work place, while being Catholic/Christian?

How to avoid the topic “religion” in your work place, while being Catholic/Christian?

OMG...I swear something is in the Air!
People just want to battle about topics that shouldn’t be talked about especially in inappropriate times and feel compel to change your mind about religion…CRAZY! And it doesn’t help that I work for a research lab! So, here I go blabbing to myself cause I need to vent and no where else to go…

Even though in most organization it is advised during orientation to avoid some sensitive topics in the workplace, they still somehow show up in my lifetime more than once…. So, to avoid adding stress and awkwardness to the situation I do the following! J

Basic Terms:
(You should know because they will clearly state which one they belong to...seriously!)

Atheist vs. Agnostic
· An atheist: Disbeliefs in god(s)
· An Agnostic: who accept the label of agnostic because they reject the label of atheist; nevertheless disbeliefs in god(s) but believes there is a higher power??!

Question:
Do you believe in Adam and Eve or Evolution?? (Mind you I’m catholic, who believes greatly in God, Jesus and Marie, however to avoid tension I gave the following answer to end the conversation. I believe there is a time and place for everything and I’m NO one to judge another human being for its opinion. If I had to change the world it would be not to waste my time with someone who doesn’t want to change it’s position …I’m sure we’ve all met Mr. and Mrs. stubborn….)

Answer:
I do believe in Adam and Eve because I refused to accept I once could have been a monkey (primate) and ate off my ancestors fleas in my past life, so I rather live in “La La land” and know that I was related to a promiscuous aunt that popped out many babies whom now are my cuz….
I smiled and they laugh thinking I’m one funny gal….WHATEVER! Now they can’t get enough of it…

Creed concert on Friday night.
I thought it was 'ok'. I think they did a decent job. It didn't help that I did not know any of their songs. V liked it too. It rained cats and dogs getting out of there. But hey, how can you NOT like it if the tickets are free?!

p.s. fire shooting out of the stage is dope!
